Reservation Payments
A credit card will be verified to secure your booking. A credit card prepayment equal to 100% of your total stay is required 3 days prior to check-in. You may cancel your booking free of charge up to 3 days before arrival. If you cancel for any reason within the 3 days, attempt to modify this reservation, or do not arrive on your specified check-in date, your payment is non-refundable. The hotel has the right to cancel any reservations if payments are not successful. Any additional charges incurred during your stay must be settled prior to departure.
Cancellation Terms
Notification of cancellation without charge is required at least 3 days prior to the date of arrival or 14 days during peak season. After this time, the reservation total will be charged in full. Please note, when booking any special offers that require full prepayment at the time of booking, all payments are non-transferable and non-refundable in the event of cancellation. A credit or debit card pre payment equal to 100% of your total stay is required 3 days prior to check-in to secure your booking. If you cancel for any reason, attempt to modify this reservation, or do not arrive on your specified check-in date, your payment is non-refundable. Any additional charges incurred during your stay must be settled before departure.
Promotional Rates

All our promotional offers are subject to availability, valid for new bookings only and are not available in conjunction with any other offer. All promotional offers will carry redemption and expiry dates. The Square Townhouse adopts dynamic pricing, and our room prices fluctuate based on demand. When you make a reservation request, we will give you the total price for the rooms and the number of nights you have requested. The price you pay is the price quoted to you at the time you make your reservation. Room prices are per night and are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate at the time of your reservation. If the rate of VAT changes between the date of your reservation and the date of your stay, we will adjust the rate of VAT that you pay unless you have already paid for the reservation in full before the change in the rate of VAT takes effect. You may wish to take out room cancellation insurance in case you need to cancel your reservation.
Damage to Property, Fixtures or Fittings
The Hotel will hold the Client responsible for any damage caused through negligence by the Client, the Client’s Guests, or the Client’s Contractors. You are liable for any removal or damage to Hotel property during your stay and whilst on the premises. We are strictly a non-smoking hotel, which extends to damage caused by smoking in your room. Any associated costs because of damage or removal will be your sole responsibility. Charges to be paid by yourself shall be at the Hotel’s sole discretion. The Square Townhouse is a non-smoking Hotel. Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the Hotel or on any balconies. If we find any evidence or believe that you have been smoking in your room, including on the balcony, during your stay, we will charge £100 to your credit/debit card. This charge will be made so that the room can be properly deep cleaned to ensure the comfort of the next Guest utilising this room.
Accomodation
The maximum room occupancy is two adults. You must not exceed the maximum occupancy for the room allocated to you. We reserve the right to conduct checks on occupancy. Occupancy is not transferable. You must be 18 years old or accompanied by an adult to make a reservation. The Hotel will be permitted to cancel such a reservation on the day with full cancellation if it is found that this ruling has been ignored. We reserve the right to request valid photographic proof of identity and age, this should be presented on your arrival at the Hotel.
VAT & Services
Value Added Tax is included at the current rate and is subject to change. Room prices are per night and are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate at the time of your reservation. If the rate of VAT changes between the date of your reservation and the date of your stay, we will adjust the rate of VAT that you pay unless you have already paid for the reservation in full before the change in the rate of VAT takes effect.
Check in Times
Check-in time for accommodation is from 1500 hours. An early check-in can be requested, dependant on availability, this cannot be guaranteed. Check-out time is by 1100 hours. Late check-out can be requested until Midday, subject to availability. Late check-outs after Midday are subject to a charge of £15 per hour.
Do Not Disturb
You will find a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign in your Hotel bedroom for your convenience. To ensure the safety and security of all Hotel Guests, The Square Townhouse Housekeeping is required to check all bedrooms within each 24-hour period. If a ‘Do Not Disturb’ Sign has been posted on your door, please kindly advise us when it will be convenient to enter your room. Housekeeping will take less than a minute; after knocking on each door prior to entering and will be mindful of your privacy and not disturb any items in the room.
Group Booking Terms & Conditions
A reservation of five rooms or more is considered a group booking. If you wish to make a group booking, please call the hotel directly. A credit card will be verified to secure your booking. Functions Terms & Conditions
If you wish to book a function, please contact the Hotel directly. Once confirmation has been received a document detailing the Function will be forwarded to you, on confirmation of this a 25% deposit will be required. A credit card will be verified to secure your booking. A credit or debit card prepayment equal to 100% of your Function is required 30 days prior to the Function. Notification of cancellation without charge is required at least 30 days prior to the Function date. If you cancel for any reason, your payment is non-refundable. The Hotel has the right to cancel any reservations if payments are not successful. Any additional charges incurred during your Function must be settled prior to departure. You may wish to take out room cancellation insurance in case you need to cancel your reservation.

All data is securely stored in software that is compliant with GDPR. We do not hold any credit card details once any charges have been settled. These details are immediately destroyed, and no record of them is kept. Should we contact you in the future via email (outside of an email specific only to you), we will ensure that the content is likely to be of interest to you, such as promotional offers or to make you aware of other products we offer, within the scope of the hotel industry. We operate a policy of transparency regarding our data. You have the right to request what data we hold of yours, and we will process all requests within one (1) month. If you supply personal details to us through this website, then you consent to our maintaining, recording, holding, and using such personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
