About the Event
Burning the Clocks is a celebration of time, tradition, and renewal. Every year, hundreds of people gather to create their own paper and willow lanterns, which they carry in a parade through Brighton’s streets. The procession culminates with a beautiful bonfire and fireworks display on the beach, symbolising the release of the old year and the welcoming of new beginnings.
- Parade Route: The event begins at Brighton’s City Centre and moves down to Madeira Drive, where the beach hosts the Grand Finale.
- Start Time: The lantern procession starts at 6:30 pm, followed shortly after by the bonfire and fireworks display.
